My Last Afternoon of Singing.

We sang in Waggum this afternoon, a small village near Braunschweig Airport.  Five local choirs sang a variety of songs from around the world, some in English but most in German.   To the left our choir dressed in red listens to the Waggum Male Voice Choir, which sounded really lovely.    We sang four songs, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Das Wandern ist das Muellers Lust, Come Back Liza and Wochenende und Sonnenschein.  We sounded really bright and cheerful and the audience gave us a long, enthusiastic applause when we had finished.

It has been a lovely, warm autumn day here, and I'm really hoping that when I get back to England tomorrow, it will be equally as warm.   My friend in Berlin wrote to tell me that she had looked at the weather forecast for Devizes and it mentioned sunshine.  Thank goodness for that, and just hope it doesn't rain.

Waggum Ladies Choir sang really well, and finished the afternoon's singing with "Lord of the Dance," sung in English with gusto.   It was a really enjoyable afternoon.
